Viñedos Yacoraite
And its exceptional wine bar
Known as La Pollera de la Coya, the extraordinary mountain formation is an icon of the landscape of Quebrada de Humahuaca.
Well, the opening of Viñedos Yacoraite's wine bar makes it possible to indulge in this multicolored spectacle, wine tasting included.
The modernist and innovative architecture was designed by Gastón Montiel, who knew how to enhance the elements of the landscape in a context of innovative design.
The location, in front of Yacoraite, is not only strategic but also unique, as the immensity of the vineyards' panorama highlights even more the red that stands out from the great hill.
The interior of the wine bar is composed of furniture that pays homage to sophistication, warm tones and sober elegance. It was designed by Gabriela Izquierdo, who achieved a remarkable balance in its beauty, without overshadowing the star of the house, the Yacoraite.
There are about four hectares, where Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are produced organically, and in white grapes they are testing Torrontés, Chardonnay and even a Riesling.
The midday menu was designed by the colossal Florencia Rodriguez, in a sequence of steps that harmonize with the high altitude wines.
A long way back awaited us, so we could only try the tapas and taste a Cabernet Franc Mallku, leaving us pending the full proposal of the restaurant with the best view of the entire Quebrada, which always invites us to return, because it is inexhaustible.
Although the reception would appreciate more cordiality towards the visitor on behalf of the management, we are left with the superb view of the wine bar, on the podium of the wineries in the northeast, plus the beauty of the surrounding hills and the careful wine of their plots with its own high altitude features.
