Harvest Caye

Absolute relaxation under the sun

The cruise we took through the western Caribbean included a stop at an island in Belize where everything is prepared to enjoy the sea and the sun.

It is a resort with multiple leisure options. To begin with, an extensive beach with lounge chairs well arranged under the palm trees.

From where the ship docked to the resort it was a long walk across a pedestrian bridge, although there was also the option of taking golf carts to avoid fatigue, both on the way there and back.

One note to keep in mind. The cruise ships are very well equipped for people with reduced mobility. And in the case of. Harvest Caye was no exception, there were even several special wheelchairs available for the beach, with wide rubber wheels

Among the amenities available was the zip lining, a very long zip line from the lighthouse of the island.

The giant pools among palm trees, with waterfalls and a bar inside, were another option for cruisers.

In the saltwater lagoon, water sports could be practiced; in fact, there were kayaks and paddleboards for rent to ride among the mangrove estuaries.

In the jungle there is a tremendous butterfly farm and a small animal reservoir with iguanas, toucans and boa constrictors.

Obviously, there is a varied offer of restaurants and bars for the insatiable tourists, as well as small shops with local Belizean handicrafts.

In the case of @tripticity_ the decision was simple, enjoy the beach and relax in a typical Caribbean paradise situation.
