Finca Santana

A hidden gem in Cachi Adentro

Santana is a estate located 7 kilometers from Cachi (Province of Salta). Its main production is walnut trees and verbena.

Centennial trees in the creek give their criollo fruit, a brown walnut of intense flavor. The nuts from the younger trees are Californian type, blond and soft. In addition to their nutritional value, Santana nuts have a very distinctive flavor.

The property has its own spring, which guarantees drinking pure, fresh water during the stay. Of course, it also enriches the most delicious infusions.

The verbena, here known as cedron, is a bush about two meters high. It has a lemony fragrance, perhaps even mentholated. It is recognized as having significant digestive properties, as its oil, which is used medically, contains components claimed to have antispasmodic and relaxing effects. A bonus of the cedron leaves is their attractive antioxidant effect.

The house, built on the foundations of an old ranch, offers two rooms for visitors who want to enjoy an inspiring rest.

The setting is simply exquisite.

The excellent library has copies on art, gastronomy, culture and philosophy that tempt the traveler to borrow time, so that the clock stops and allows one to enjoy these books while tasting a cedron leaf tisane in the living room.

The artwork on Santana's walls is as surprising as the striking nature of the surroundings.

Not to mention the delicacies served at dinner! Everything is prepared with products of the highest quality; nothing extravagant, but a sybaritic luxury.

Breakfast, on the other hand, is enjoyed in the gallery, which although under roof, has large openings to the lush outdoor garden, and can be experienced in the company of butterflies, bees and hummingbirds, which dance among the exotic flowers. And even a mischievous little fox or an elusive jackrabbit.

The suggested minimum stay is two nights, in order to appreciate the spectacle of the hills, the starry nights of Cachi, Adriana's gastronomic sensitivity and the enchanting charm of the Finca.
