Domingo Molina winery

Majestic landscape in a peaceful environment.

It is the premium winery of the family that produces the famous Cafayate wine Domingo Hermanos, , known regionally since the 70's. Its name refers to a person, although it is actually the conjunction of the surnames of the pioneers in modern winemaking in Cafayate: Osvaldo Palo Domingo and Leonor Molina, parents of the current winemaker Rafael and his siblings.

Its lands are located on the slopes of the Serranías de Quilmes, in northern Yacochuya, so it has a privileged terroir and a phenomenal view.

In addition to the possibility of visiting the winery, tastings can be made in the adjoining garden: the house provides the bottles and the visitor brings the food of his choice, and can enjoy it in the quiet peace of its surroundings.

Domingo Molina produces premium wines, both for the terroir so favorable for quality grapes and for the altitude of the vineyard, at 2000 meters above sea level.

The label of the Domingo Molina line, which characterizes the winery, is the synthesis of a drawing of two condors facing each other, representing good prevailing over evil.

Its wines are excellent, typically Calchaquí, with the Tannat standing out above all.

That autumn noon when we visited the winery, the sun was inviting us to enjoy the tasting of Domingo Molina's varietals with Cabras de Cafayate's cheeses, the other family enterprise dedicated to the production of milk derivatives, surrounded by the vines dyed in ocher colors and with a fabulous view.
